Finally Drying Off: 2025 Swim Season Comes to a Close in Brunswick
The 2025 summer swim season in Brunswick wrapped up for the Forest Hills Tidal Waves on Saturday, July 26th. Nearly 60 local children competed at the CVSL Championship Meet, where the Tidal Waves earned a 3rd place finish for the second year in a row. Swimmers who won their individual heats received a fun gift — squeaky rubber ducks — to celebrate their amazing races.

The next day, Brunswick families and swimmers from the Forest Hills Tidal Waves gathered for the annual awards pool party. After swimming and enjoying a big team meal, swimmers received medals and ribbons from the championship meet, personalized award certificates, and this year’s special keepsake: Tidal Waves wristbands.

Each year, the team also presents its “Fish Award” to the most improved swimmers on our summer swim team in Brunswick — one boy and one girl who have shown exceptional progress. This year’s winners were Aaron and Piper. Congratulations to them both!

Other special recognitions included Carter winning the trophy raffle and the Andrechuk family taking home the volunteer Yeti water bottle prize.
